We have a 25 seater restaurant where you can dine in style and comfort, and we pride ourselves with the knowledge of high standards in food hygiene and health and safety.  Our friendly team of staff look forward to welcoming you.

 

We endeavour to source supplies of cod and haddock from the sustained fishing grounds of the North Atlantic. The quality of our potatoes and suppliers is in constant review to ensure the best available produce is sourced throughout the year.

 

Our fish and potatoes are prepared daily.

 

People come from far and wide to sample our fish and chips and to visit the beautiful historic market town of Barnard Castle.

 

Popular celebrities as well known as Alan Hinks (Mountaineer) and David Bellermy (Botanist) are regular visitors to our shop. We are situated at 36 Galgate, opposite the main car park at Morrisons.

 

Durham County Council's 'Scores on the Doors' scheme rates fast food outlets on the basis of many hygiene standards. Burrell's have achieved a FIVE STAR rating for 2009 - 10.
